Our Curriculum 

Image result for pirates Our topic for this term is ‘Ahoy!’

During this topic we will be focusing on life as a pirate.  We will be looking at both real and fictional pirates  Your child will experience fantastic science experiments and learn what life was really like on board a pirate ship.  They will research information about local history and the importance of a local hero William Knibb to create reports and fact sheets.  Not to mention the exciting trips to Hunstanton to see the sea for real!  Please check out our blog for photographs.  In literacy we will be developing our writing skills by learning how to write effective sentences for stories, recounts and reports.  In maths we will be developing our understanding of time and solving many tricky problems.

This term we have a number of options for our topic homework - the choice is yours! Please see our topic Homework Project in your homework book to choose your project.


All Year 1/2 classes have PE on Tuesdays.  Please make sure your child has a named PE kit in school.  David Attenborough class will also have PE on a Wednesday.  Charles Wicksteed and Steve Redgrave classes will have an additional PE session on a Thursday.  Please remove your childs earings before PE sessions because they will be unable to participate with them in.  Unfortunately we are unable to remove them for your child.
